You talk about the Bible being clear that homosexuality is an abomination. The Bible is equally clear on unclean things (Lev. 7:21), a proud look (Pro.6:16-17) a false balance or scale (Pro. 11:1), re-marriage of former companions (Deut. 24:1-4), lending with interest (Ezek. 6-13) all being abominations. The word abomination in the Bible refers to that which is breaking the Levitican Law. Correct me, sir, but Jesus' blood brought Grace which replaced Law, since man is completely hopeless and inadequate to receive God's Grace without Him. Please show me where Jesus directly admonished homosexuality. He did, however, repeatedly speak on feeding the poor.

Neither of us will convince the other. My wish for you is that you live your life and work for your own Salvation and for those you love. Not everyone in this nation is Christian, so this is a fact you must also accept.

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

So I am to understand that you are the one who makes the rules now. YOU have decided that it has to be two consenting adults. I find that interesting, so what if someone else decides it does not have to be two consenting adults. What if the Supreme Court changes it mind and decides that 14 is considered an adult? My point Lynin, is that as soon as you move away from some kind of ultimate standard of what is right and wrong, such as the Word of God, everyone gets to make the rules, and you need to be open minded enough to accept them. When a society moves in that direction as history has proven, chaos is the result. The Bible is clear on the issue of homosexuality, Lynin. Anyone who reads it without prejudice will see that God calls it an abomination. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of it and judgment will come to any nation that encourages it. We need to be seeking to help bring healing to those who are caught in its trap rather than telling them it is all right. Just look at the stats among homosexuals! Why is there such a high rate of depression? Why is there such a high rate of suicide? Why is there such a high rate of dug abuse? I know you have been told it is because they have not been accepted, but projection is not going to solve this issue. They are struggling because what they are doing is completely wrong and contrary and until they get healed their life is going to be messed up. I am sorry that you don't see this. I will be praying for God to open your eyes and heart to the truth.

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

My comment, if you look, is two consenting adults. An animal, a 16 year old, and a dead person cannot legally give consent. When my husband and I got married in 1984, he was Catholic and I was not. In many parishes, we wouldn't have been permitted to marry. My best friends are an inter-racial couple. In my lifetime, this has been illegal. I'm saying that two consenting adults who love one another should be afforded the right to share it with the world. If a church doesn't agree, that's perfectly fine. One should never be judged based on love. It's not analogous with love. Thou shalt not judge.

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

Is love between an adult and an animal normal and healthy?
Is love between an adult and a 16 year old normal and healthy?
Is love between an adult and a dead person normal and healthy?
If not why not, they are not hurting anyone!
By the way, it seems that you think it all right to judge me to be wrong, but apparently it is not all right for me to judge anyone else wrong.

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

I think that love between consenting adults is normal and healthy. Nobody is hurt when two consenting adults love one another. Comparison with acts in which one is not able or doesn't consent is not a good analogy. If a Christian is going to judge a person based on selective interpretations, then the love of Christ is left out.

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

Lynin, so I take it you disagree with me? So does that mean that you think homosexuality is the result of being born that way and that it is a normal and healthy lifestyle?
Thanks for pointing out the misspelled word "Paster"

Re: When is it right to discriminate; a look at the US Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals have a Constitutional right to marry

This commentary is simply sad and the comparisons/analogies are strange at best. Do you remember when you and your crew came into the Golden 8 Ball at Summit and 11th? Then there was the co-op. You helped Vicki and I through a couple of rough spots too. This is my 40th anniversary also. So, thanks for sharing your story! Continue in our Father's blessing my friend.

Re: When I Became A Saint

Loved reading this. God's grace is truly amazing! I learned so much about you that I didn't know before - and through your testimony I continue to stand in awe of God's providential saving grace! I still think back to the JV baseball game at Randolph High School.....I was pitching - Scott Burchell was catching - and you were in the woods behind home plate looking for a foul ball. And all I saw were the trees swaying and you screaming as if you were being devoured by some Randolph wild beast! I was laughing so hard - I couldn't pitch! So glad that you were truly devoured by the power, mercy and grace of God Almighty through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ! Keep running the race; fighting the good fight; preaching the Word - God bless you brother!

Re: What happened to all the other godly people in Noah’s day?

Praying to God and looking for signs from God and the devil.

Re: What is it really all about?

We let things get in the way because it is a lot of work.
